Every young person deserves the opportunity to contribute, participate and thrive.
Picture This: Skills on Show gives schools practical, accessible resources to help students with disability explore employment, volunteering, microenterprise and community participation.
Designed for flexible classroom delivery, the program helps students build confidence, understand employability skills and picture a future filled with choice, opportunity and meaningful employment.
Australia has one of the lowest employment participation rates for people with disability in the OECD.
Picture This: Skills on Show was created to help change that, giving schools ready-to-use, strengths-based resources that help students recognise what they can offer and explore meaningful pathways beyond school.

The program is designed for Stage 5 and 6 students of all abilities, including those with significant and complex disability who may never have considered work. It has been successfully adapted for students requiring a very high level of learning support.
Each learning module comes with facilitator notes and questions to guide group discussion, easy read slideshows, student workbooks and hands-on learning activities. We provide visuals for general program content and support you to create other visuals relevant to your own context. Students are actively supported to relate the program content to their personal experience.
The program is designed to be delivered over two school terms but can be adapted for a shorter or longer timeframe depending on your needs.
Most activities use readily available classroom materials. Any additional requirements are clearly listed in facilitator notes.
Your subscription provides access to a member chat where you can ask questions and share tips with other educators. We’ll also be there to provide support. If you feel you need more in-depth support, you have the option to book an additional coaching session with our team.
Resources will be reviewed and updated regularly to reflect educator feedback and curriculum changes. We’ll be adding new content on a regular basis.
We understand the important role that educators play in supporting families and students with disability to navigate the complexities of post-school life, employment and disability supports. The onboarding workshop provides you with the latest information about the full range of employment and support options available to young people with disability.
The workshop also supports you to adapt the program resources to your unique learners and community context.
